As your new president for the year 2010-2011, let me welcome you to the official website of the European Society of Trauma and Emergency Surgery.
I take great pride in the honor you have bestowed on me as your next president. Together with the executive board, I am confident that we can keep up the hard work that has gone into this society since its creation. I trust that all will agree that the enormous success of the recent meetings, and in particular, in Brussels (May 16-18, 2010), attests to this progress and the interest of European surgeons in the field of Trauma and Emergency Surgery. Plans are already underway for our
next meeting in Milan, April 27-30, 2011. Please note the dates.
There has been increasing interest in our Journal “European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery” and this is a good sign of our livelihood. The web site is active and is one of the “hot” hits in Trauma and Emergency Surgery. There is more to come! In the coming months, you will see a new course on Emergency Surgery, conceived and programmed by ESTES. Details will be posted soon on this very site.
