All Section and Committee representatives will serve a three-year term, and be eligible for re-election at ECTES 2026. The Chair and Vice-Chair will serve a two-year term and be eligible for re-election at ECTES 2025. Regarding vacancies, I would hope to fill those (by emailed nomination from the Section Chairs of DMM and STSM as well as from the Chair of AC) at the annual Committee meeting at ECTES Estoril 2024. This will have the advantage of staggering the exit years of Committee members.

The plan for the Research Committee is to meet as a group annually at Congress plus virtually in the Autumn (approx. 6 months apart). In order to respect everyone’s busy schedules, there will be additional asymmetric tasks throughout the year, such as reviewing study proposals over email or via REDCap survey instrument, collaborating on educational material (e.g. webinar on how to write a manuscript, how to review a paper etc.) and constructing the Committee’s input into the Scientific Programme of ECTES.
